New device added to Tertu range of road restraint systems while successfully performing a crash testing program according to U.S. standard MASH with new barrier T-MASH 18. The company is now ready to target more road safety markets and strengthen its international leadership.
MASH standard (Manual for Assessing Safety Hardware) is an U.S. testing program that applies in several southern hemispheres and American countries such as Australia, New Zealand, Canada, Mexico & of course U.S.A.
T-MASH 18 guardrail has been crash-tested according to the requirements of the standard MASH at containment level TL2 :
- 2.2 T pick-up truck at 70 km/h and impact angle 25°
- 1.1 T car at the same speed and impact conditions
This crash-barrier is reinforcing the Tertu wood and steel guardrails range which includes 20 models certified according to the European, Korean, the Chinese and now the US standards, definitely the largest offer of the current international market, in this field.
As all its “fellow” systems of Tertu’s range, T-MASH 18 system benefits from an attractive performance, a good-looking appearance as well as an environment-friendly approach thanks to wood presence. Indeed, its use allows to store the carbon dioxide (CO2) in the atmosphere : one cubic meter of wood can store one ton of carbon dioxide.
